When I first started this website I thought I was going to be traveling around in my RV, and I was going to be sharing the things that I saw, and the things that I learned along the way, but, it turned out, through the circumstances of life, that I haven’t been able to travel and I didn’t think that it was very interesting to be sharing about staying stationary in an RV.
My health also had a setback, and while health was something that I was interested in and going to be sharing as I came across different things that were good for my health, it became a priority. And I found out that women over 50 CAN lose weight permanently, because I have been. They can even lose belly fat because I am, even the hard belly fat is going away.
I was 57 when I started my weight loss and health improvement safari. I’ve lost 5 inches off my waist and 5 pant sizes. It’s actually simple, but I won’t lie to you and tell you it will always be easy. Each person has their own safari, so what is easy for you may be hard for me, or vice versa. We both know that simple is not always easy.
Keep it Simple
But I’ve found, and maybe you have too, that simple is usually where there is truth. We over complicate so many things, and if we go back to basics, return to simple, that’s where things will come together and where the truth can be found.
The foundation for my success is intermittent fasting. But that was really only the start. As Hippocrates said “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food” I have been re-examining food. Just because we can put it in our mouth, chew it up and poop it out later doesn’t make what we eat food. And I have a Biblical view of food. I believe the Creator of the Bible made us and made food for us for sustenance and healing. I tell you that only for reference. It will come out occasionally when I share some of the things I’ve learned or am learning about the things we eat.
So even though I’m still stationary in my RV, I thought I’d share what I’ve learned and am learning about my journey, my safari, to improve my health. For this moment in time the focus of this website will be about health for people like myself who are over 50 and working on losing weight and improving their health. Especially for women, who don’t know they can lose weight and improve their health at our age.
